China Officinalis

This homeopathic remedy is extracted from the basic substance named chinine (cinchona). This is particularly important remedy in the history of homeopathy, as the First law of Homeopathy – “Similia Similibus Curentur” was found by Hahnemann with the proving of this remedy.

Homeopathic remedy made of nitroglycerin.

It is interesting that patients who need this remedy frequently give one of the key-symptoms: they are easily lost in the known streets, confused if they wake up during the night and similar.

Proving of this remedy has shown strong nervous disturbances. They are not willing to work, extremely touchy, easily excited, even for the slightest discordance/ if someone argues with them, this situation usually causes the symptom of blood running toward the head or hearth. This is a powerful remedy for congestive headaches, hyperemia of the brain caused by high or low temperatures. Clinical indications are headaches, migraines, high blood pressure, arrhythmias, valvular diseases, congestive disturbances of the heart function, and menopausal flushes of heat. One of the main causes for prescription of this remedy is sunstroke, when it is followed by specific symptoms of this remedy.

For example, if the symptoms of common cold in patient are similar to the symptoms of Belladonna poisoning, that patient will get homeopathic Belladonna.

Remedies are administered in extremely diluted form. It is usual that the dilution is 1:1 000 000 000 000 in water.

Single remedy:


Regardless of number if symptoms in one patient, it is a rule that only one remedy is given and it is addressing majority/all present symptoms.

Similar principles are known in conventional medicine as well. Example is treatment of allergies where the substance causing allergy is administered in minute doses in order to cause desensitization, as well as with vaccination, where neutralized virus is administered in order to initiate specific immune reaction for the case when alive virus of the same kind enters the body.

Chamomilla

This remedy is made out of flowers of chamomile, a well-known remedy in the official, traditional Chinese or in the herbal medicine. The main indications directing a homeopath to prescribe this medicine are mainly based on mental and emotional picture of the patient. Symptoms like: exceptionally sensitivity to pain, restless, impatient, capricious, moody, aversion to be touched, a child wants to be carried or to be driven in a car, etc.

Any medicine in homeopathy is prepared by diluting, mixing, dynamizing/shaking of the basic substance, which constitutes the remedy (plants usually have so called mother-tincture/juice of fresh squeezed plant or other grained parts of plants like root, flower, bark, fruit etc.)

This remedy can be prescribed to touchy and sensitive patients, reserved in disposition, to those who express themselves through the art. They have an aversion to superficial contacts and friendships; they want deep contacts and friendships only. They are also very artistic persons, with a strong sense of beauty. They have desire to possess the best things. They have a strong imagination, a lot of plans and ideas. They fear animals, dogs, and even domestic ones such as sheep. In further stages they can be apathetic, indifferent and sad. On the organic (physical) level they can have gastro-intestinal disorders with flatulence and diarrhea; liver and spleen problems (inflammation, hypertrophy, cirrhosis); nerve problems (hypersensitivity of senses - noise, light, touch, taste, and ringing in the ears), blood and circulation disturbances, (hypo tension, dizziness, cardiac weakness and collapse caused by anemia); long-lasting exhausting fevers.

Clinical indications, among the others, are: behavior disorders, convulsions, cramps, neuralgic pains, painful teething, as well as any other difficulties with teething, colic pain, diarrhea caused by teething, dysmenorrhea, bronchitis, asthma, otitis media etc.

There are, for example: constant irritability and excitability, workaholics, fussy, vital, often jealous persons; sometimes they have symptom of dropping things, or doing things they did not want to do etc. Reasons for prescribing this remedy could be: reactions to the insect stings, fear, sadness, mental shock, negative consequences of suppressed skin eruptions, symptoms of burning, edemas and pain, bee-sting, urticaria, different edemas, nephritis, ovaritis, cysts, etc.

Lac defloratum

This homeopathic remedy is made of fat-free cow’s milk.

Patients who can benefit from this remedy are sensitive to noise, light, movement, women who feel exhausted during their periods, getting better from pressure and from tightening head (especially in the case of migraine).

This remedy is indicated in the cases of malnutrition, strong headaches, when terrible pains are followed by profuse urination; seasickness / kinetosis, constipation etc.

Clinical indications for this remedy are: headaches with pain starting from the forehead, irradiating to the area of back of the head; pain is persisting like an intensive pulsating sort of pain, accompanied with sickness, vomiting, dazzling, and persisting constipation – stool is hard, long, comes after strong tenesmus, painful and causing cracks on anus.

Natrium Muriaticum

This is a homeopathic remedy made of NaCl (table salt).

Long-term consumption of large amounts of table salt can cause deep changes in the nutrition system, resulting in fluid retention - swelling and edema, as well as in changes in the blood. It seems that it also retains some other substances in the tissues, and the symptoms of gout or rheumatic gout can appear.

This is a powerful remedy for some fevers, anemia, and some digestive diseases and skin problems. They feel very weak in the morning, while still in the bed. They are also very sensitive to the coldness and easily catch the cold. They are also emaciated, especially in the neck area. They have dry mucous membranes. It is recommendable to take this medicine into consideration in the cases of hyperthyroidism, gout and Morbus Addisoni, as well as in diabetes.
